SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A Utah doctor who volunteered with a local non-profit in Ukraine is now home after spending a week helping in clinics, hospitals, and orphanages.
The Tooele-based pediatrician, Dr. Gordon Duval, arrived home to the Salt Lake City International Airport Saturday after spending a week on the ground in Ukraine treating refugees and distributing medical supplies from Utah.
August Mission, the non-profit he traveled for, said Duval spent a lot of time in Western Ukraine.
He treated children and women at an orphanage in need of medical care and was able to get thousands of dollars worth of medical supplies to medical teams on the ground…
