From November 7-9th, 2023, August Mission collaborated with Janz Corporation to organize the International Healthcare Summit, where Ukrainian and American physicians exchanged knowledge and participated in panels to network, collaborate, and work toward improving medical care in the country.

As Scott Giberson, President of AMI Health, stated, “Ukraine and its leadership face extreme health challenges amidst current conflict. Every day, heroes on the front lines, in the hospitals, and in the streets exhaust every resource to both sustain the fight and simultaneously plan for future health transformation. An admirable and herculean task that only underscores the need for global collaboration, learning, and support.”

Our founder Bruce Roberts stated that we “have to keep paying attention to what is happening here.” He presented three goals of the summit: collaboration, education and awareness. The message from our Ukrainian friends at the summit is that “sharing experiences with American colleagues is always beneficial to our medics.”
